Patrick Campbell, Co Founder and CEO of ProfitWell, along with Neel Desai, ProfitWell Product Manager, delivered a piece of subscription truth and discussed the future of automation. Patrick went through the history of SaaS, and Neel broke down some of our latest innovations.
April Dunford, author of Obviously Awesome, mentor, and startup executive, talked about positioning for growth and how to make your market category work for you. April went deep on choosing the right channel in a crowded marketing space.

Christopher O’Donnell, SVP of Product at HubSpot, captivated the audience with discussions on the roadmap toward becoming a truly product-led growth company. He dove into why great products are bought and not sold—a “bought” product means customers adopt your product before purchasing.
Nick Mehta, CEO of Gainsight, and his colleague, Kate Peter dropped knowledge on how to drive customer success across SaaS businesses. Customer success is the third-fastest growing profession. Nick and Kate broke down a key framework for companies to follow with customer success.

Jeremey Donovan, SVP of Sales Strategy at SalesLoft—an expert in data-driven prospecting—imparted wisdom on building a pipeline with a facts-first approach. Some key takeaways include personalizing your outreach, keeping subject lines and emails short, and A/B testing to optimize.
Michelle Huff, CMO of UserTesting, is all about the human connection. She said companies are dropping the ball when it comes to listening to customers, resulting in a lack of empathy. Michelle said we can better empathize with customers through building personas, collaborating with your team and customers, and using data to inform decisions.
David Cancel, CEO of Drift, believes a new wave of companies are rewriting the rules. His talk at Recur 2019 dove into why. He said friction used to be normal for companies, but now, people expect a frictionless experience. You can do this by creating a consumer-level customer experience.

Chris Savage, CEO and Co-Founder of Wistia, broke down brand affinity and why shows are the future of marketing. He said people no longer trust ads; they want to be entertained as they learn. His prediction? Every business will someday build a studio.

Dan Martell, founder of SaaS Academy answered why it’s so hard to set, hit, and identify targets. He unpacked the core metrics used to measure performance and accelerate growth. Four principles Dan said you need to consider: forecast targets, funnel metrics, assign ownership, and measure actuals.
And our own Co Founder and CEO, Patrick Campbell, rounded the day off with insight on leverage and truth. He spoke about his own journey starting ProfitWell, and how he came out on top after beating cancer twice.
